Hey Mad Tatters! This week has been a pretty busy one. Loved ones close to me suffered a death in the family, and my heart broke for them, but I felt so honored and grateful that I have a job that allowed me the space and ability to be there for them when they needed me.

The New Romantics

After lots of heavy emotions, a mid-week signing was just the thing to give me a smile. I’m currently riding back from Florida to the Carolinas after attending The New Romantics Bookstore’s A Night of Dark Romance event, where I participated in a signing and dark romance panel with some amazing authors: Lola King, Jane Henry, J Rose, and Brandi Hynes. I wish I was the person who took tons of awesome pictures, but alas, these are all I can offer you:

Phantom and Bookish Cookies

Naturally, my only pictures would be of cookies, haha. But LOOK AT THESE BOOKISH COOKIES by Nat Just Cakes! I’ve never had my book cover on a cookie and not gonna lie, I teared up, because how cool!?

It’s also finally gotten a little warmer (thank GOODNESS), but we’ve had some very windy days and tornadoes in the lower parts of the state. After Hurricane Helene 18 months ago (it’s really been that long ago?! RIP my little yellow Fiat forever 😩), I’m a bit wary of all storms here! Butttt you know who isn’t?

HUDSON, our swoonworthy quarterback and campus legend from Catching Lightning! Once upon a time ago, my bestie Kayleigh King and I teamed up to write a college football frenemies-to-lovers romance with all the angst we could muster.
